Choosing a machine
Start with the workpiece, material and production route.
What should I send to get a useful machine recommendation?
Send the finished-part drawing or sample, material grade, thickness, working dimensions and batch requirements. For tubes, include outside diameter, wall thickness, bend radius and the full bend sequence. Also specify destination voltage, frequency and phases. Send your requirements to WinYing.
Can I choose a machine from its maximum capacity alone?
Use a specific model and a valid combination of dimensions. Maximum width, thickness, diameter, speed and radius may belong to different models or conditions. Confirm the actual material and tooling instead of combining separate catalog maxima.
Does a listed thickness apply equally to steel, stainless steel and aluminum?
A thickness figure does not establish the same capacity for every grade. Specify the actual material and finish. Where the product page gives separate material ranges, use the correct one; otherwise obtain a model-specific confirmation.
Can I request a different tooling or control configuration?
Provide the required profile, controller functions, dimensions and site standard. Ask for a quotation that identifies the proposed equipment and included options. A customization description does not mean every option is standard on each machine.
HVAC duct machinery
Separate seam forming, flange construction and finished-duct assembly.
Does a Pittsburgh lock former also close the finished duct seam?
Lock forming shapes the sheet edge. Assembly and seam closing are separate operations. Plan the compatible closing method with the complete duct joint. See the Pittsburgh lock forming machine and duct seaming equipment.
How should I compare TDF and TDC flange routes?
Start with the required transverse joint. TDF forms an integral flange on the panel; TDC uses formed strip components for a separate flange system. Review corner pieces, mating fit, assembly and the required tooling together. Compare TDF and TDC selection.
What should an auto duct line quotation include?
Confirm the included machines and operations, working width, material range, seam/flange tooling, handling layout, utilities and acceptance trial. A line number or a shared specification table does not establish its entire package. Explore auto duct lines.
Does the listed feed speed tell me completed duct output?
Completed output includes setup, size changes, cutting, handling and later assembly. Use your duct sizes, material changes and batch quantities in a trial, then count acceptable panels or finished ducts under the agreed scope. Plan a duct-line production trial.
What information helps select a spiral duct machine?
Send material grade, thickness, prepared strip details, diameter list, order lengths and batch mix. Confirm diameter-change tooling, cutting configuration and discharge/support equipment for the selected machine. Review spiral duct equipment.
Sheet metal fabrication
Match the cutting or forming method to the complete part geometry.
Should I use a folding machine or a press brake?
Compare the complete profile and bend sequence. A folder clamps along the bend line and forms the edge with a folding beam; a press brake uses punch-and-die tooling. Review flange access, material, bend length, handling and subsequent bends. Compare folding and press-brake routes.
When should I compare shearing with CNC profile cutting?
Straight blank preparation can be reviewed with shearing equipment. Contours, internal holes and nested profiles require a suitable programmed cutting route. Compare the actual grade, geometry, edge requirements and downstream forming. Browse cutting equipment.
Can I use the same thickness rating for every laser power option?
Use a power- and process-specific confirmation. The NS3015L page lists several laser powers and reference thicknesses, but does not allocate each thickness limit to every power option. Agree material, assist gas and cut-quality conditions. Review the NS3015L configuration.
What is needed to select a plate rolling machine?
Provide grade, plate thickness, rolling width and the finished curve or cylinder drawing. Define the diameter convention, end condition and later joining. Confirm the actual roll arrangement, adjustment, support and any required pre-bending separately. Explore plate rolling options.
Tube & pipe bending
Specify the tube, radius and all movements needed for the finished part.
Should I specify nominal pipe size or actual outside diameter?
Provide the measured or specified outside diameter and wall thickness, plus the pipe/tube standard if available. Nominal pipe names and tooling labels alone may not establish the physical groove fit. Read the size and terminology guide.
Does a maximum bending radius establish the minimum radius?
No. A maximum-radius entry does not establish tight-radius feasibility. Confirm the required radius convention, grade, OD, wall and tooling. The DW NC table leaves minimum radius subject to diameter. Review radius and wall requirements.
What should I compare between NC and CNC bending?
Identify who controls bending, feeding and tube rotation on the exact quoted model. Stored bend settings do not alone prove automated feed and turning. Compare the full workpiece, operator actions, tooling and repeat batch. Compare NC and CNC motion control.
Is a greenhouse tube roller the same as a localized tube bender?
The greenhouse roll-bending route forms a broad continuous curve, while localized bending serves distinct bends and sequences. Send the full arch or part drawing. For greenhouse work, include centerline span/rise, straight ends and actual tube stock. Review greenhouse roll bending.
Quotation & delivery
Use the confirmed configuration and a clearly itemized order scope.
How do I request an accurate machine price?
Identify the product or process, required model capacity, material and tooling. Include controller, utility and accessory requirements and the delivery destination. Ask for an itemized quotation showing the actual equipment and options. Request a quotation.
What production and delivery time should I expect?
Request the schedule for the confirmed configuration and order conditions. Separate production readiness, transport and arrival planning. No single delivery period applies to every machine, customization or destination.
How can I compare two quotations fairly?
Compare the same workpiece and material, supplied model, included tools, control functions, utilities, support equipment, acceptance criteria and shipment scope. A similar machine name or price does not establish an equivalent package.
What shipment details should I confirm before ordering?
Request the current packed dimensions and weights, included accessories, packing arrangement and transport scope. Give the delivery destination and ask which documents are supplied. Coordinate the specific transport and receiving arrangements with your freight provider.
Installation & support
Plan the site and agree the documentation and service scope.
What site information is needed before installation?
Provide voltage, frequency, phases, available floor space and incoming/outgoing handling routes. Obtain the selected machine’s approved layout and full utility schedule. Confirm any air, cooling or hydraulic requirements for the actual package.
What manuals or training should I request?
Agree the supplied installation, operation and maintenance documents, required language and the commissioning or training arrangement. Ask for these items in the quotation so they match the selected controller, tooling and configuration.
Where can I confirm the warranty and after-sales scope?
Request the written warranty and support terms for the specific order. Confirm the duration, included items, reporting process and any separately quoted service or parts. Product-category descriptions do not establish one universal warranty package.
What information helps with a service or spare-parts request?
Provide the machine model and serial number, relevant photographs, the part reference if known and a clear description of the issue or controller message. Contact WinYing to confirm compatibility, availability and the next steps. Contact the team.
