Generally, when cutting thick plates and hot plates, the distance between parts should be large. Because of their large heat transmission range, when cutting corners and small graphics, the metal plate is easily burned, which affects the cutting quality.
In the process of cutting thicker metal plates, to make the slit joint natural and prevent burns at the beginning and end, a transition line is often drawn at the beginning and end of the cutting, which is called lead and tail respectively. The lead wire and tail wire are useless to the workpiece itself, so they should be arranged outside the workpiece scope, and at the same time, pay attention not to set the lead wire in a sharp corner or other places where heat dissipation is not easy. The connection between the lead wire and the slotted seam should adopt arc transition as far as possible to make the machine move smoothly and avoid damage to the workpiece caused by the corner stall.
Co-edge two or more parts into a combination, and try to co-edge large quantities of regular graphics. Co-edge cutting can greatly shorten the cutting time and save raw materials.
To maximize production efficiency, many fiber laser cutting machine manufacturers operate the machine continuously for 24 hours and use automatic loading/unloading devices. This method is likely to cause the workpiece to hit the finished part, which may cause damage to the cutting head and interruption of production, resulting in greater losses. To avoid this situation, you need to pay attention to the following points:
Choose a suitable cutting path and detour the cut parts.
Choose the best cutting route to reduce cutting time.
Automatically or manually connect multiple small parts, and then disconnect the connection after cutting.
The residual material on the worktable of the laser cutting equipment needs to be removed as soon as possible to facilitate subsequent laser cutting operations. For laser cutting equipment that does not have an automatic unloading device, the skeleton-shaped remaining material can be cut into small pieces to facilitate quick removal.
